Philippine citizens can now apply for a no-fee 30-day e-Tourist Visa to India, following an announcement from the Embassy of India in Manila. This special arrangement will be in effect from August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026.
The visa will allow two entries within the 30-day validity period, starting from the date of the traveler’s first arrival. Applications must be filed online through the official portal: indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.
Applicants are required to submit their request at least four days before their intended arrival, and no earlier than 30 days in advance. Passports must be valid for at least six months at the time of application.
Upon entry into India, travelers may need to show proof of a return or onward ticket and evidence of sufficient funds for their stay. This free visa offer applies only to the 30-day e-Tourist Visa; all other e-Visa categories, such as for business, medical, or longer stays, will still require payment of the prescribed fees.
The 30-day e-Tourist Visa is non-extendable and non-convertible and cannot be used for travel to protected or restricted areas. Those opting for a traditional paper visa will follow the usual application process and pay the applicable fees.
